Time goes so quickly, I can't believe this was over a year ago and yet so much has happened. This week marks one year for me living in England. It's been hard but I am grateful for the lessons I am learning and sharing my life with someone I love with all my heart is pretty awesome.

Knutsford

45 minute train ride away from Manchester is Knutsford. I think when Americans who have never been think of England they are actually thinking of Knutsford. It was lovely and quaint and charming and all of those types of things and it didn't hurt the sun decided to show it's face for the first time all week.

We went there for an auction for my etsy shop and the other project I am working on. Andy hardly ever goes with me to this kind of thing because most of the time he is working and I actually promised him I wouldn't drag him to things like charity shops (thrift stores) anymore because it makes him want to start smoking again.

I loved  having him there today, there are so many characters at these place it is fun to have someone to exchange secret looks with and laugh about it all.

This auction was a little pricier then I wanted to go but I picked up a couple cameras and two West German vases. I am loving west german pottery.

We went and saw Phosphorescent at the Deaf Institute last night. I was kind of a fan but man... I loved them live, I even teared up at one point. There is nothing like the feeling of being transported by a talented and soulful live preformance.

Where Do I Begin?

We don’t have the show “ Hoarders” in England but I did catch it last time I was home in the states and oh my goodness it has haunted me. I am not like those poor people but sometimes my etsy shop feels like a real slippery slope. So often I fall in love with things that I never wanted or needed and it takes me way too long to list on the shop. Or I acquire items that are just too large to sell on etsy. This week I came home from an auction with a freakin projector!

I spent a day thinking I would fix it up and Andy and I would make 8mm movies and screen them….excuse me …what!?! I don’t have the time or attention span. (If anybody wants a Specto 500 I’ll give you a deal, and I got the screen too) I would love to see how other sellers store their stuff and manage it.

I also came home with quite the collection of old glass bottles. They are very pretty on my windowsill, if I was getting married again I would use them for the centerpieces. I keep talking myself into reasons I may need them in the future.... Slippery slope indeed.

Monday Morning Ritual

I loooove going out to breakfast. It’s my favorite. LA is rich with options of cozy places to sip a cappuccino and meet your girlfriends. Luckily in Manchester I live near The Deaf Institute. It’s so luxurious to have a leisurely breakfast with my husband (that still sounds funny to me) during the week. I love the d├ęcor and the crazy wallpaper.

It's greasy but it's good.

Etsy Flowers for Ma

Awww. I wish my mom wasn't so far away. She is one of my favorite people for sure. I love her and miss her like crazy.

Perfect Day

Wedding Gift

Our dear friends gave us a gift certificate for the Manchester Craft and Design Center. We went back so many times trying to decide finally we settled on these tiles by Lee Page Hanson and I am so happy.
